Adding a degree of competition to the game master-player relationship, veteran designer Lee Garvin offers a new roleplaying game for your enjoyment. In Control players investigate a world-spanning conspiracy. As attractive as that theme sounds, there’s an added twist. If a player’s character is able to infiltrate the conspiracy and become powerful enough, then the character can take over and the player becomes the new game master.
Following up on the commitment made in the annual Report to the Stakeholders, Steve Jackson Games has released the second core GURPS book, Campaigns, in electronic format. The book may be purchased through the company’s online store, e23.

Once upon a time a city could measure its worth by the friendliness of its streets and parks. Outdoor spaces were meeting points for playing games and having picnics. One of the defining memories I have of New York City are seeing people meet, talk, play, argue, and laugh around the numerous board game tables that line its parks.
Apparently those days are gone. According to The Villager, “No Loitering” signs now dot the parks, and the police will send you home if you are not quote playing Chess or Checkers unquote. No waiting for opponents. No discussing the game or philosophy. I don’t even want to know if you’re allowed to play other games on the chess boards, such as Arimaa.
