The world record for number of people simultaneously playing dominoes was just set during the Calle Ocho Street Festival in Miami. The record is 278 players, playing at something called the Old Spice domino tournament.

278? Doesn’t sound too hard to beat to me. Have at it.

Wikipedia is one of the world’s most trafficked web sites, but it doesn’t sell any ad space. It’s revenue stream is dependent on user contributions. These contributions are tough to acquire and don’t always meet the site’s budgetary needs.

According to Executive Director Sue Gardner, Wikipedia’s board is looking at other methods to raise. One suggestion under discussion is a Wikipedia board game. Another suggestion, a Wikipedia game show, was considered problematic “because game shows are competitive and Wikipedia is collaborative”.
