Backgammon Masters, an online backgammon site, is attempting to set the world record for the longest toss of the dice in a backgammon game. (Are there separate records for dice tossing in each type of game?)
To accomplish this, they will be throwing the dice from a helicopter at two to three hundred feet up onto a 1 acre-sized gigantic backgammon board-shaped field.

Chimaera Comics, the new publisher of comic books (or “graphic novels” if you prefer) from Chimaera Studios, has announced that there will also be a new roleplaying game based on the Chimaera comics universe. According to an interview with George Singley of Chimaera on the Newsarama website, Mongoose Publishing has already completed development of the core rulebook and is hard at work on the first supplement, the Hellhounds Companion Book. In response to an inquiry from Purple Pawn, Matthew Sprange of Mongoose confirmed that the company has indeed completed work on a Chimaera RPG and is now in the process of determining a release date. In his interview, George describes the game as having “a unique team dynamic system that helps immerse you in the game play from the start to finish.”
