Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
Scrabble just launched on Facebook with an official application.
When last we heard, Real Networks, licensed to make electronic copies of the game, was looking into purchasing Scrabulous rather than shutting it down in the wake of a massive user revolt. So this launch either signals that that’s not going to happen, or that pressure is being put onto Scrabulous to accept a reasonable offer.
Mashable reports that Scrabble’s current application is not going to be exerting much pressure, however, as it has a few shortcomings.
