The Seattle Times reports on a chess venue situated on Seattle’s most dangerous intersection.

A local named Ray Wright Jr (“Uncle Ray”) is trying to engage area residents in the game to give them something to do, other than hustle for drug money or commit violent crimes. Ray and his partner in the endeavor both learned the game in prison.
