Online game seller Troll and Toad has bought a $150,000 game collection from a single collector, Ken Fonarow.
Fonarow’s collection contains 20,000 games acquired over a 25 year period, and includes games once owned by Charles Roberts. Troll and Toad spokesman Ryan Severin says that the collection doubles their board game holdings.

Scrabulous, the Facebook Scrabble game that Hasbro and Mattel treat as a thorn in their side, has become a platform for more than just word games.
According to an article on Nerve, so many people were looking for sex talk using the application that they player’s not wanting adult conversation had to explicitly say so, until the application owners set up an adult-only section as distinguished from the family-oriented section.

The latest game by designer John Wick (Legend of the Five Rings and 7th Sea) will be shipping this summer. In the meantime, you can preorder Houses of the Blooded from Indie Press Revolution in standard and limited hardcover editions. In his video design journal available on YouTube, John describes the fantasy roleplaying game as more like Elric than Conan. Houses of the Blooded is “a game about tragic obsession” in which, rather than heroic adventure, players are immersed in a world of romance, art, and revenge.
The out-of-print Planescape campaign setting for Dungeons & Dragons is being kept alive by fans at the Planewalker web site with the permission of Wizards of the Coast. Their latest effort is Desire and the Dead, a free adventure scenario for 4-6 characters levels 1-3.
