A Song of Ice and Fire Delayed

Green Ronin Publishing recently announced that the A Song of Ice and Fire roleplaying game, eagerly awaited by fans of George R.R. Martin, has been delayed until October. The game is essentially finished, however it is awaiting review by Mr. Martin, who is busy working on A Dance With Dragons. Until then, those interested in previews of roleplaying in the world of Westeros can take a look at the 36 page Quick-Start Rules book available for download [PDF] from the Green Ronin website.

Archaeologists uncovered an ancient burial ground near Abydos, and with the human bones they found ivory playing pieces.

The Egyptian news agency MENA said that the pieces were Chess-like and that the only similar set was found in the tomb of Tutankhamun.
