In other news from Upper Deck Entertainment, the World of Warcraft Miniatures Game saw a Deluxe box of the Core Set go on sale this past week. This package contains two commons and one rare or epic from each of two factions, as well as matching dice, UBases, a map, and a WoW Loot card from the CCG!
[Extra: If you purchase the Deluxe box and find the Loot card missing, follow this link for instructions on how to receive a replacement.]
In a contract dispute with Upper Deck Entertainment, Konami is withdrawing its distribution arrangement and assuming control of the Yu-Gi-Oh! collectible card game in North America, effective immediately. Konami promises a seamless transition for organized play and product availability but we have to wonder how prepared the company is to provide that level of service. Upper Deck is not taking the loss of this wildly popular game quietly. They’ve filed suit in federal court alleging breach of contract.

For those unfamiliar with this masterwork, Tigris & Euphrates is a tile-laying game focused on the growth of civilization in Mesopotamia. It also employs that Knizia-favorite victory condition—the winner is the player with highest score in their worst category.
Pocketwatch Games makes video games about animals and the environment, including Venture Africa and Venture Arctic.
Now a post on their blog reveals that they’re looking to translate their video games into board games. There’s a mockup posted, and they’re looking for a publisher.
