Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
Realms of War is a fantasy card-driven war game from the relatively new Brothers in Arms games, who are going to have to do better than a free Tripod site to sell their wares.
The game appears to me more on the ASL side of war gaming vs the streamlined simple games such as Battlelore. Or so it seems to me.
BiA has a few other games, all downloadable for less than $10.
In what is sure to be one of many others, Obama the card game is a competitive game loosely based on events from the campaign trail.
Interestingly, they use Obama’s real name, but change the names of some of the other key players. I can’t tell you much more, since the rules aren’t posted and the details on the site are sketchy.
The School Library Journal has a nice article up about introducing roleplaying games into your local library, aimed at librarians. The article surveys types of RPGs, how to find information about them online, and a brief summary of some of the top RPG games.
This follows a banner year for libraries introducing board, card, and video games into their premises. Next up: LARPs and ARGs?

With Little Star Bedtime Cards, you bring them with you when you put your child to bed. The child selects one, and you use the question on the card as inspiration to tell something comforting or familiar about your life.
There are no winners and losers, but there is an element of chance, and it requires creativity and roleplaying. A little imagination and you could turn it into more traditional roleplaying.
