Wow, they did split it into two books…

I’ll miss my massive Tome of Thwacking. The Big Blue Book and Bigger Black Book were special, in that “ten pounds of paper” kind of way.

No doubt, 5th ed is a monster (unfortunately, mine has never hit the table), but in the days of light and fast story games, 128 pages for the condensed rules is still a bit scary! To be honest, I wonder how many will bother with the light version (or is the hope that the smaller version will apeal to crossover MMO players?).

Have you ever seen FRED (Hero System 5th Edition)?
