Sort of out of place on the home of cute and artistic handcrafts, Nate’s Bag of Dead Guys is a set of 1 inch tokens for sale on Etsy. The art is thouroughly horrifying without being overly gross. You can use them to mark the location of fallen player characters (go TPK!), or as I’m thinking about, trophies for a Call of Cthulhu game.

GMT has allowed Mark Mahaffey to offer on-demand prints of redux versions of some of the most beloved wargames of modern times: Here I Stand, Twilight Struggle and For the People. Each of these maps is a beautiful, fully playable map professionally printed on a decent weight stock (no word on how thick the stock is). The downside is that each of these maps is $60 since each map is custom printed per order, but this also allows GMT to accommodate special requests for maps with different sizes or materials.

The IOC still hasn’t got this straight, but a Shasta County judge in Northern California has ruled that mandatory drug tests for children participating in non-sports events (such as Chess or music) is a violation of privacy and civil rights.

391 children, including athletes, had already been tested. The prosecutor explained the original decision to institutionally force non-suspected children to pee into a cup while other people listened: “Why any parent would not want to know if their child is taking illegal substances is beyond me.”

Children at the Franklin Avenue Elementary School in Westfield, MA have created a dominoes of Obama using 44 sets of dominoes.

Apparently, this is supposed to teach math in addition to art, but I couldn’t figure out how that was. “You learn fractions” said a third-grader. ???
