Arctic Scavengers Card Game

arctic_scavengersArctic Scavengers is a card game – not a CCG – about scavenging for resources and battling for items in the junkyard of a post-apocalyptic world. This is the first game from a new publisher Driftwood Games.

Players each have a hand of 10 cards with which to play on various items, and they gain them with some sort of blind bidding mechanism. The rules are online at the above link.

transformers_robot_heroesThat’s a mouthful of a game name. Transformers games have come and gone since 1985, including Transformers-themed versions of standard games such as Stratego, Monopoly, and Chess.

The latest is the Revenge of the Fallen Robot Heroes board game, to be released alongside the book (by Alan Dean Foster) on May 19, the electronic game on June 23, and the movie on June 24.

Roll the die and move around the battle arena. If you land on a battle space or share a space with your opponent, you duel with cards. Loser must turn a piece of his puzzle to the “damaged” side. That’s what I know about the mechanics, so far.
