Car Wars in Real Life

18466Car Wars is a beloved classic from Steve Jackson Games – a pseudo-wargame set in a post-apocalyptic future where desperate men and women battle in enormous arenas with highly modified and viciously armed cars, trucks and other vehicles. And now we get it in real life. I think I may cry.

In all seriousness, Weaponizers is a new show from the Discovery Channel which pits remote armored, heavily armed vehicles against a wicked obstacle course and each other. No word on when the show will be in the upcoming calendar, but this is bound to inspire me to hit eBay for copies of the old rules…

totikaTotika from Open Spaces, published by Talicor, is Jenga, where after each block is pulled out you ask each other questions about self-esteem issues.

Open Spaces also makes Level Minded, which is a similar adaptation of the tilting Labyrinth puzzle. Players score by navigating the ball along the path on the wood labyrinth and by being the person to write the most level minded responses to questions about personal principles, values, and beliefs.

Honestly, I don’t get it.
