Upper Deck has acquired a license from Sanrio to produce a Hello Kitty themed CCG. (source) Along with Bella Sara, this could mark a huge step in bringing CCGs to the tween-girl masses.
Here’s what we have in Hello Kitty games, so far:
Electronic
Sanrio Town is like a HK Facebook, with all types of HK products, games, and news. So is Hello Kitty Online. Meanwhile, Aeria Games is introducing a licensed HK MMOG. For a list of HK video games, see the HK Wikipedia entry.
Re-themed Existing Board and Card Games
Most of the board and card games are by Pressman Toy Co, Sababa Toys, or Ravensburger.

Hello Kitty Flip N Match – A Memory game. Another version.

Hello Kitty Big Roll Bingo Game – Another version.

Hello Kitty Chess Game – Other HK classic games include Hello Kitty Crazy 8S, Hello Kitty Dominoes, and Hello Kitty Playing Cards.

Original Board and Card Games

Fortune Finder – Not really a game; more of an activity.

Hello Kitty Happy Seasons Game – “Travel around the board answering questions” is all I could discover.

Which Hello Kitty Are You Game – A card game, but there’s no information about it on Pressman’s site.

Hello Kitty Best Friends Game – A social slumber-party game with a spinner. Ask the other players questions to learn about them. Briarpatch has no info about it on their site.

Hello Kitty Shopping Spree Game – I got nothing.
Meanwhile, enjoy Hello Cthulhu (cartoon © 2002-2006 Devon “FrogPlague” Tackett; Hello Kitty © Sanrio)

Previously we had reported about problems with Google and Hasbro collaboration, Monopoly City Streets. After a server refresh, and a much more stable system, Hasbro has started up a Monopoly City Streets blog, and started by posting an open apology letter.
In the letter, they acknowledge the previous, and current problems with the game. They also give some background on their initial ideas about the game. It’s a very good move on Hasbro’s part, and I’m glad to see they’re taking responsibility for all the problems with the game.

The Motley Fool wonders if Hasbro is the next Marvel, seeing as it’s moving away (?) from its core products and branching out into other media. (source)
Meanwhile, Hasbro explains the limitations of its MMOG Monopoly City Streets by claiming that it was never meant to be more than a limited-time promotion for its new board game, Monopoly City. (source) Considering the numbers the game attracted, they might need to reconsider that. As for myself, I’ve logged on a number of times and don’t see much of a game there.
Mattel’s 3rd quarter earnings were down 3% compared to last year due to foreign exchange issues and slower toy sales. Sales were down 8% to $1.8 billion. Yet its shares are up: +28% for the year, compared to +1% for Hasbro, and -27% for Jakks. (source)
The NY Times, as well as many others, is pimping the new Clue with text message clues. (source)
WotC (a subsidiary of Hasbro) has settled two of the eight lawsuits it filed against people who distributed unlicensed online copies of their Players Handbook 2. These were for $125,000 and $100,000. A third case is likely to net a default judgment of around $45,000.

Peggy Demciber, a CT mixed media artist, has created at least two amazing bead mosaics, for the board games Monopoly and Candy Land. Above is a low-res, smaller version of the original Monopoly piece, posted on Flickr.
