So Daryl Hannah has already designed, and released, a board game (pictured to the right.)
Thinking that the current economic crisis has more people playing games, she’s decided to launch her own line of board games. She claims board game design is a silly hobby of hers and her friends, but I think if she’s got a passion for it, then why not?
It doesn’t seem like she’s really it in for the money (because, there’s really not THAT much money in it), but more in it for the fun and the way games bring families and communities together.
Seems like she’s quite the board game design geek.
Kineti-Go is a tabletop shuffleboard game with “Rebound” pieces, only the pieces are magnetic.
The site has a store, but the store only has pictures. So I don’t know where you can get one or how much it costs. But you can try contacting them. (I did; waiting for an answer.)

Spielbox is a glossy German magazine on board and card games, which is now being made available in English. 56 EUR for 7 issues shipped overseas.
We ditched magazines about five years ago, right? What Spielbox offers that online information doesn’t is the occasional game expansion stuck into the magazine itself (with cardboard pieces, no less).

Label Interactive is the first out of the gate with a suite of board games designed for the iPad. Product information at GameTable.
Perhaps the most interesting thing about the product is that it contains no game rules; only board and pieces that you can manipulate at will. Which means that you can play any game you like using the manipulable components.
They began working on it well before Apple’s product announcement. It will cost 99 cents and be available in late March.
