Rather than to sales and closeouts, this time I’m going to point you to some contests and game giveaways.

To celebrate the new series, Bakugan is running a Gundalian Invaders Fan Art Contest. Original drawings of Gundalian Invaders Bakugan, Super Assault, or Battle Gear must be submitted by April 30th. The top three entries (judged on originality, creativity, and quality), as well as one randomly selected entry, will each receive one Bakugan Gundalian Invaders BakuTriad, one Bakugan Gundalian Invaders Super Assault Booster Pack, and one Bakugan New Vestroia Battle Pack.

The WARMACHINE Muster the Troops Contest from Privateer Press requires participants to register and answer specific questions on both the Bell of Lost Souls and Lost Hemisphere forums. Only those who do so by April 30th with the same user name at both web sites will be eligible. Privateer Press will award a randomly selected winner a 35 point army from their choice of WARMACHINE factions: Cygnar, Khador, Protectorate of Menoth, Cryx, Mercenaries, or Retribution of Scyrah.

In The Monster MashUp Contest, Nevermet Press is giving away brass-inlaid dice and print and PDF RPG books for the best three stories about the monster illustrated on the company’s web site.

Selected applicants for the Hasbro Family Game Night House Party will receive a prerelease copy of the latest Trivial Pursuit game, two additional Hasbro games, coupons, and a bag of Pieces candy. For those of you not in the know, House Party is an online service that pairs sponsors with those interested in throwing promotional parties.

You’re No April Fool! is a riddle contest from Out of the Box Publishing. Ten entries with the correct answers to three riddles will each receive an Out of the Box game of their choice.

Steve Jackson Games is soliciting ideas for new Munchkin cards. The best idea proposed by April 30th will earn its submitter a copy of a still-secret upcoming Munchkin project.

And because it’s better to give than to receive, I’ll mention here that Big E Toys is running a Buy One, Give One campaign now through May 31st. For every copy of the Stumblebum charades games purchased at the Big E store, the company will donate another copy to children in need through The Toy Bank of the Toy Industry Foundation.
