Over the weekend, Come Out and Play Festival 2012 is hosting a variety of street games in New York City, tonight around South Street Seaport, tomorrow on Governor’s Island. Visit the website for the full lineup of events, which includes:
- Brain Bats—life-sized pong controlled by NeuroSky MindWave headsets
- Fever Karaoke—a mashup of Mad Libs and Karaoke
- Manhattleships—directing bombers around the city by mobile phone
- Moonshine—”a game of smuggling and policing”
- Humans vs. Mosquitos—running shoes recommended
- Medieval Madness—life-sized pinball with target teams and flipper teams
- Pickpocket Junction—”the game of trains, brains, and ill-gotten gains”
Very cool event. Great way to get people out and playing new games. Perfect summertime event!
