If you thought the digital version of Duels of the Planeswalkers was a great game, then you’ll be more than happy to know that Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 surpasses it in every way. With cards from the new 2013 set, a refined interface, and faster gameplay, there’s no reason not to spend the $10 that this game costs. That’s less than the price of 1 starter deck, and you’ll get countless hours of Magic-goodness out of it. While you still don’t have full deckbuiling capabilities, the deck management feels more rewarding this time around.

Another $5 snags you the expansion, with 5 more decks, an expanded campaign, and more puzzles. Totally worth it in my opinion.

The best part for me is not having to shell out hundreds of dollars to get my fix of cardboard crack, only to have my cards sit around because of the lack of local opponents and hard-to-schedule time.

It’s just a real shame that my copy of the original will now be collecting digital dust.
