The Chicago Toy & Game Fair, this Saturday and Sunday at the Navy Pier, is a family-friendly event focused on promoting play at all ages. Taking place at the start of the holiday shopping season, ChiTAG is also great for discovering toy and game gift ideas. The show features over a hundred exhibitors with ample opportunity to play, whether or not you buy.

Special events at the show include the Young Inventor Challenge, Yo-Yo Contest, Star Wars Lunch, Pony Royale Princess Party, and Settlers of Catan National Qualifier Tournament.

Daily admission is only $10 for adults and $5 for children. Educators, librarians, Scouts in uniform, military, and veterans all get in for free, as do grandparents accompanying grandchildren on Sunday.

Leading up to the show have been several days of special events for toy and game industry professionals. On Wednesday, ChiTAG hosted playCHIC, a fashion show featuring outfits inspired by toys and games.
