Chris May of Oxford has set a new world record for simultaneous Scrabble games. May, 29, a student, and the ninth ranked player in the world, spent 4 hours and 10 minutes playing against 28 opponents. Twenty-five of his games were victories.
The previous record, held by Ganesh Asirvatham since 2007, was 25 games.
