The latest in Hasbro’s lineup of toy/show crossover games is B-Daman Crossfire. The toys are, at their most basic, customizable marble shooters. Each figure has a head, arms, legs, a core, and a spring trigger. There’s also add-ons to make loading them up with marbles, aiming, etc…
There’s several game sets using the B-Daman, and the one I got a chance to play with is the B-Daman Crossfire Break Bomber Battlefield Set. The object of this game is to shoot out cubes from the center grid and eventually get 3 of the red cubes into your opponents zone. The set comes with 2 B-Daman, a power type and a rapid fire type. You also get 2 loaders, and 20 B-Dama (marbles.)
Whoo boy, this was a lot more fun than I thought it’d be. The arena has pretty much been permanently setup on our game table since we got it, and the kids are always shooting marbles like crazy and laughing hysterically.
We’ve been sucked in. I’m already looking into buying some of the other arena sets, and more of these creepy little marble shooting robots.
Thumbs WAY up.
