Seth Godin writes in The Spirit of the Game about how some people try to win through finding loopholes, while others try to win through playing well. The loopholes are against the spirit of the game. You can win with them for a short time, but eventually they get closed.

Meanwhile, writing on ProBlogger, Nadeesha Cabral compares bloggers to pawns on a chess board. You start weak, in a mass of people, sometimes come too quickly out of the gate, most leave the board before the end of the game, those that don’t suffer attacks, and those who persevere may get promoted to queen. A bit of an analogy stretch in my humble opinion.
