Duelist Pack: Rivals of the Pharaoh contains 11 brand-new cards, and 46 cards in all: 24 Commons, 10 Rares, 6 Super Rares, and 6 Ultra Rares. It’ll be sold in 5 card booster packs, can we’ll see cards used by Yugi, Kaiba, Yami Marik, Maximillion Pegasus and Yami Bakura.
The coolest new card? Neutron Blast, a Spell Card that lets Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon attack 3 times in a turn without interruption. There’s also Lullaby of Obedience, a spell that costs 2000LP but allows you to name a monster and add it to your hand/field if your opponent has it in their deck.
I’m sure I’ll be getting my hands on a few packs when they’re released, and will make sure to post a short video opening them.

A few packs of the latest Yu-Gi-Oh! set to hit store shelves, Breakers of Shadow, arrived in my mailbox today. This set introduces a few new deck themes, and also guarentees a foil card in every 9-card booster pack. I was actually lucky enough to pull the set’s signature card, Buster Blader, The Destruction Swordmaster, from one of my packs.
As for the new deck themes, the Shiranui have the strength of samurai warriors, while the Twilight Ninjas rely and speed and overwhelming numbers. Dinomists are steam-powered pendulum dinosaurs that are pretty awesome looking. I only pulled a few of these, but they’re my favorites by far. One of them is a triceratops tanks. It’s pretty amazing looking.
3 packs of Yu-Gi-Oh! Breakers of Shadow were sent free for review by Konami.
With a December 11th release, Clash of Rebellions Special Edition continues the Yu-Gi-Oh! machine. The booster set will retail for $9.99 and includes 3 booster packs and one of two Super Rare Cards, Ultimaya Tzolkin or Frightfur Tiger. The set also includes the return of Red-Eyes monsters. The first, Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon, is the first card that is a Pendulum Monster that’s also an Xyz Monster.
Clash of Rebellions also introduces several new Deck themes: Igknight Monsters that burn up cards to summon better cards, Aromages that pump up Life Points, and the Kozmo theme, a World Premiere Deck theme based on one of the most popular American fairy tales ever known.
Finally, the Special Edition Booster Set will also come with one of two foil version preview cards from the upcoming January booster set, Breakers of Shadow.
I must have missed the press release in my email the other day, so I’m sorry for the lateness on this one! The Yu-Gi-Oh! Master of Pendulum Structure Deck hit shelves on December 4th, and takes full advantage of the Pendulum cards we’ve seen in the game for a while now. The 43 card deck includes: 38 Common Cards, 2 Ultra Rare Cards, 3 Super Rare Cards, 1 Dueling Guide, 1 Rulebook and 1 Deluxe Game Mat, and utilizes every aspect of the Pendulum. I received a copy of the deck a few days ago, and it played very well against the Synchron Exreme Structure Deck.
The Master of Pendulum is only $9.99 and, like the other Structure decks, is a step up from Starter Decks, adding the more complicated aspects of the game in.
As far as which of the newer Structures Decks to get? I enjoy Master of Pendulum more than Synchron Exreme, but getting both, especially for newer players, is a great idea.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Demo Day is right around the corner on December 5th. Yu-Gi-Oh! Demo Day is designed to give new and novice Duelists a safe and inviting place to learn how to play with others who are also new to the game. On-site staff will be available to help at Official Tournament Stores. Demo Decks, Dueling Guides, and prizes are available to all those who participate in the event.
New to Demo Day this year is the “Bring a Friend” campaign. Duelists who bring along a new player to a participating location will receive an exclusive, lenticular, foldable Deck Case only available at Demo Day, a random booster pack, and additional Demo Decks to help them build out their card collection.
I’m kind of bummed because only one location in Connecticut is participating, and it’s not super close.
Dimension of Chaos is a new 100-card set for Yu-Gi-Oh! set to release on Halloween this year.
Dimension of Chaos introduces brand-new deck themes like creating powerful new strategies with the Majespecters, spell-casting Pendulum Monsters that can’t be destroyed by an opponent’s Monster effects, or taking control of an opponent’s Monsters with Graydles. New cards for existing themes like Blackwings, D/D, Kozmo, Frightfur, Performapal, Igknights, Odd-Eyes also make an appearance.
I’m just getting into the swing of things with Pendulum Monsters (see what I did there?) an am looking forward to trying out the Majespecters.
The breakdown of the set is as follows: 48 Common Cards, 20 Rare Cards, 14 Super Rare Cards, 10 Ultra Rare Cards, and 8 Secret Rare Cards. Each pack will be $3.99 and contain 9 cards.
