Dr. Cynthia Mahaffey of BGSU runs a once a month program called Game Game Night that raises money for children’s charities:

I am the faculty sponsor for a wonderful organization called Game Game Night, which offers students of color a safe social activity (board game playing) on campus once a month and also raises money for children’s charities. Last year, Game Game Night used all their budget for these charities and now need to augment their supply of board games for use during their meetings. Since I gave most of mine to Kohl Hall a few years back, I am hoping some of you have board games in nice condition, you can place them in my box at East Hall and I will pass them on to Game Game Night.

It’s nice to see board games get the occasional mention in the comic pages. Usually it’s the standard modern games, such as Monopoly.

But this week’s Sally Forth (from Feb 5) is a series of strips on playing board games while snowed in. Sally’s game of choice? Ticket to Ride.
