Googly is a Cricket-themed board game / leadership training tool from South Africa, named after a certain type of pitch delivery in the game of Cricket. Little information about the game itself is found on their site.
Googly just sued Google Inc over the domain name google.co.za, citing a trademark dispute. Because a moron in a hurry could confuse a leadership board game training tool with a multi-national online search engine. Good luck with that.
I’m betting that their next target is this Googly card game from the 1940’s.

Not that it really matters, but a googly is a type of delivery in cricket rather than a type of pitch.

That’s exactly the kind of small-town mentality that keeps the world (or the small part that actually knows that South Africa exists) of the opinion that South Africa is the Land of the Stupid. This is nothing more than a cheap stunt to get some free publicity for their business and waste other people’s time and money. I hope Google give them a hiding second to none.
Wait until FIFA WC2010 and you’ll see the silliness kick up a gear. I live in SA and we see this type of ignorance on a daily basis.
