Wizards of the Coast will be changing how it releases new editions of its core Magic: The Gathering sets.
Until now, new core sets were released every two years; this is upping to every year. In addition, core sets will contain at least 50% new cards, including mythic rares. These will have pre-release and launch parties, like other Magic sets.
Cores sets will no longer be names numerically 10, 11, 12, … but instead according to their year of release 2010, 2011, …
