Designer I. J. Thompson has released a new print-and-play game based on the Blade Runner universe. In Rep-Detect players take control of a Blade Runner trying to retire more replicants than the other players, or be the last Runner to survive. There’s also a chance that a Blade Runner may become a Sympathizer and their goal will then be to escape the city. Movement around the board is dictated by die roll, and players investigate the areas on the board by drawing cards. If a Replicant is discovered then combat ensues.

Everything looks really well done, but my only concern would be licensing issues. Thompson has stated that if trouble ever arises, he’ll immediately take down the game. You can snag everything you need to play off the game’s BoardGameGeek page, and a VASSAL module is currently under development for digital play.
