Trireme Commander is Capitan Games rules for ancient naval combat in miniature. It’s an adaptation of the company’s Napoleonic-era rules with greater focus on ramming and boarding tactics.
To accompany these new rules, Capitan Games also has new 10 mm ship figures—Hemiola, Birreme, and Trireme types, each with alternative rails, bows, and prows. In a few weeks there will be 10 mm Roman, Carthaginian, Siracussan, Macedonian, and Pirate crews.
Spanish company, Capitan Games SL, has split from parent company Warmodelling Miniatures and joined with Battle Models Ltd of the U.K. to form Capitan Games Ltd. The new company plans to publish a variety of war game rules, will continue to sell Warmodelling miniatures outside of Spain, and intends to produce its own miniatures under the name, “Battlemodels”. [If you can keep all that branding straight, I’m impressed!]
The first product out of the new Capitan will be Divisional Commander, tactical Napoleonics due in about 2 weeks.
