We had posted a while ago about a Spanish version of the Heroquest 25th Anniversary Edition, and now there’s a Kickstarter up for an English version. The game has already blown past its goal of $58,000 with 31 days left to go on the project.
A pledge of approx $89 dollars ($94 CAD) will get you the core game, and it has an estimated delivery date of December 2014.
This looks like it’ll be great for all the old HeroQuest lovers, and even for those who never had a chance to play the original, but wish they could have.
A deluxe 25th Anniversary edition of HeroQuest, to be released in 2014, was announced by representatives of Gamezone Miniatures, a Spanish company that primarily makes wargaming miniatures. Plans for the game components include dual-sided modular boards and resin miniatures for four heroes (male and female variations), monsters in different poses, and terrain features. Although licensing issues with the HeroQuest brand name preventing Gamezone from distributing the game outside Spain, the company is planning on releasing the game in multiple languages. Gamezone is considering crowdsourcing the funding for this new edition.
