Hub logoHasbro is reducing its role and ownership stake in kids TV channel, The Hub Network. After 4 years as a joint venture of Hasbro and Discovery Communications, The Hub will become Discovery Family Channel starting October 13th.

Children’s programming from Hasbro Studios—such as My Little Pony and Transformers Rescue Bots—will continue to be featured during the daytime. Evening primetime, however, will focus on family shows from Discovery.

Hasbro’s ownership stake in Discovery Family Channel will drop to 40 percent.

Clue, a television miniseries based on the board game, debuts Monday night on The Hub. Kids in a big house witness a terrible crime and proceed to investigate. There’s also something about candlesticks.

The Hub, a joint venture of Hasbro and Discovery Communications, also broadcasts several other board game inspired shows, all of which, though are game-shows (in the sense that contestants compete for prizes): Scrabble Showdown, The Game of Life, Pictureka, and Family Game Night.
