Mind Sports International (MSI) and the North American Scrabble Players Association (NASPA) are teaming up for a new Scrabble tournament series [PDF]. The program will see local events feed in to satellite divisions and regional qualifiers. And from there, one in 60 will earn invitations (plus accommodation and a travel stipend) to the 2016 MSI World Championships.

While the word list in use at the World Championships will be CSW (Collins Scrabble Words), those used at individual events may vary, depending on the choice of the organizer.

The Pokémon Company International has launched its official 2014 Pokémon World Championships website  for fans to keep up with all the action from the event. The schedule of the event is listed below, as well as a Twitch player that will stream the championships live once they start.
