Video game publisher Majesco has released a version of Blokus for the Playstation Portable. Blokus Portable: Steambot Championship combines the popular abstract’s gameplay with characters and visual elements from the Steambot Chronicles video game. The electronic version of the game also promises online and local multiplayer modes.
The actual gameplay seems identical to the board game version, but at a retail price of $20, Blokus Portable: Steambot Championship offers an affordable and portable way for PSP-owning fans to play the game.

When playing Blokus, I notice a difference in the way players organize their unplayed pieces. For example, I put them down on the table randomly, trying to keep myself from focusing too much on playing any individual piece. In contrast, my wife has a particular order involving the number of squares in each piece. I wonder how they decided on the screen layout for the unplayed pieces in this version.
I arrange them grouped by size, as well. I always play the bigger pieces first, unless there is a specific space I want to get to before someone else.
