The Hul’qumi’num Treaty Group was created in 1993 to jointly negotiate a treaty between natives of British Columbia and the governments of British Columbia and Canada. Negotiations have been underway for over 14 years.
Apparently, the terminology and history is so confusing, even those involved in the process don’t understand all of it. To address this, Joey Caro, treaty group communications manager, created a board game called The Treaty Board Game.
One can only hope it takes less than 14 years to play.
