Sean Sears, an amateur player won $50,000 as champion of the 2008 Bud Light/USA Rock Paper Scissors League Championship in Las Vegas.

There are, supposedly, opportunities for skillful play in RPS: knowing what people tend to use and how they tend to repeat or pick patterns over several hundred plays.
