California Vacation is a roll, move, pick the cards, and follow the instructions game. There are no decisions to be made.
According to the designer, the full game takes up to six months to complete, with up to ten players playing eight hours a day. A shorter version will take one and a half to two hours. The game costs $60.

1oh my god, this must be the single most awful game ever designed. have you ever seen a more god-awful game?
I don’t think it’s true that there are *no* decisions to be made. I found three spaces that give you an either/or choice, like either pay $200 or lose your next turn. There are also gambling spaces where you MAY gamble. So, I’ll expect to see some detailed strategy articles showing up on BGG soon to help me make these difficult decisions.
Unbelievable. I’m off to reconsider all my lowest game ratings on BGG.

3Didn’t Dante write about a level of Purgatory centered around this game? I’m with Kevin – this makes you really think about what makes a “bad” game…(all of a sudden Cineplexity isn’t looking that bad…)
