Since not everyone peruses through Diamond Distribution‘s monthly Previews catalog (partly because only comic book fans realize that it has a pretty healthy games section), we’ve decided to give everybody a look into what’ll be hitting your store in November!

  • Memoir ’44: Mediterranean Theater is one we’ve covered before, but its nice to see it show up in the solicitations (along with the Overlord Expansion).
  • Fans of the old Call of the old Call of Cthulhu CCG have reason to rejoice with the release of the new fixed set version: Call of Cthulhu LCG Core Set.  For those who missed out, this is a great card game with some very innovative mechanics.  They’ll also be releasing two fixed expansions (“asylum packs”): The Horror Beneath the Surface and The Spawn of the Sleeper.
  • Be still my beating heart!  FFG’s reprint of Cosmic Encounter shows up with a retail price of $49.95!  If you’ve not seen the previews of this remake from GenCon, you’re really missing out.
  • For those who like a some dungeon romping in their board game, FFG will also finally release the 4th Edition of Talisman as well as the upgrade pack for those who bought the recent Black Library release.
  • FFG is also releasing the first character packs for its World of Warcraft: Adventure Game.  The packs include Artemis Moondream, Brandon Lightstone, Dongon Swiftblade and Zomka Shattertusk.
  • Green Ronin is releasing Warriors and Warlocks, an expansion for their popular Mutants and Masterminds RPG.  This fantasy-based expansion to the original game also includes a rules supplement for using it with their popular Freeport setting.
  • Mongoose Publishing is releasing another expansion for their Battlefield Evolution miniature game system: Apocalypse-Z.  Essentially, its post-apocalyptic miniature gaming with zombies.  I don’t know why I’m uncontrollably drawn to this title, but I am…
  • Mongoose is also releasing the Traveller RPG: Pocket Edition.  Yup, its what you think it is: a pocket sized rule book that Mongoose says will have all the rules found in the full-sized version.
  • Steve Jackson Games is releasing yet ANOTHER expansion to the undying game, Munchkin.  Munchkin 7: More Good Cards includes more of the same backstabbing goodness that makes this game what it is…
  • Privateer Press will be releasing accessory packs for their Monsterpocalypse CMG.  The accessory packs include colored id rings, health tokens and various dice for use in the game.  They’re also putting out a map pack with three double-sided maps (all of these are retailing for $14.99).
  • Upper Deck is releasing another expansion to its World of Warcraft CCG: Drums of War.  Maybe its just me, but I felt this one peaked out around the first expansion…
  • Proving that the Vs CCG has plenty of life left in it, Upper Deck is also releasing the Marvel Evolution expansion, including teams like X-Factor and X-Force (many I hope they focus on the new team!).
  • Wizards of the Coast is releasing the first in their dragon-focused series, Draconomicon: Chromatic Dragons.  This 288 page, but $39.95, title covers everything you wanted to know about chromatic dragons but had invalidated when they changed expansions (not bitter at all – it’ll look great next to my Draconomicons from other editions…)
  • WotC is also releasing their next D&D Miniatures expansion, Demonweb, featuring even more creatures from the Underdark.
  • Proving that its better late than never, WotC is also releasing a few Star Wars miniatures products, including the new expansion: Clone Wars.  They’re also releasing three new map packs, marking the first new maps for SWM players in a few years.
  • Continuing their support for the RPG side of the house, WotC is also releasing Scum and Villainy, a look at the darker side of the Star Wars universe.
