Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
Following close on the heals of WOTC’s revised GSL, Paizo Publishing has upped the ante with the release of a Pathfinder Compatibility License and a Paizo Community Use Policy. The actual Pathfinder Roleplaying Game is published under WOTC’s Open Game License, but the Compatibility License will permit both commercial and non-commercial publishers to label their games as compatible with Pathfinder rules. What really puts Paizo ahead, though, in terms of support for third parties is the Community Use Policy. This allows non-commercial users to publicly share their work for Paizo games, and even use Paizo provided logos, illustrations, and other material, as long as they register on Paizo.com.
