Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
Elizabethtown is a new setting book for Colonial Gothic, the RPG of supernatural horror set during the American Revolution. It details the Appalachian Valley community—better known as Hagerstown—including such exciting elements as Freemason plots and the Boo Hag.
But what I also find intriguing as I read in to this, is how close to home it hits as a resident of Maryland. I’d love to hear from you. What games have attracted you because of a personal connection to the setting or theme?

this is a really interesting setting for a game and i will admit a certain fondness to reading WoD sourcebooks for cities which I’d lived in but most of my life was spend in the suburbs. Not a lot of exciting stuff happens in RPG suburbs.
