GW Hates You. Yes, You.

Games Workshop has cancelled all US Grand Tournaments for 2009 – that’s the message delivered to gamers on the GW US Community site today (and no, you can’t tell them what you think about it – they closed comments!). GW says this is due to the recent restructuring they’ve undergone (which according to many anecdotal reports has led to numerous layoffs and store closings) and that they’ll be back with a similar structure in 2010. This doesn’t impact the other GW tournaments or the Indy GT scene, but it really makes events like this weekend’s Adepticon event even more important to the GW tournament scene.
