A Gathering of Strangers: Salt Lake City Convention

Salt Lake City’s 4th annual board game convention ‘A Gathering of Strangers‘ is being held on July 10-11 at the University of Utah’s Officer’s Club. The cost to attend is $15 ($20 day of) for one day and $25 ($30 day of) for both days. Events will include:

Tournaments for Settlers, Ticket to Ride, Dominion and Bridge Troll (subject to change)
Two Murder Mysteries (one on Saturday, one on Sunday; extra cost to join)
Game Demos
Game Library
and of course, LOTS of open gaming!

The Board Game Designers Guild of Utah is also holding its first ever Strangers’ Choice Award, where industry professionals review completed prototypes made by members of the guild in order to determine a ‘best of show’ of sorts. With The BGDG already having nine published titles amongst its members, the designs shouldn’t dissapoint.
