Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
I’m pretty sure that ANY game with decision making and simple rules is as good for Alzheimer’s patients as any other, but if you want officially designed games for that purpose (other than those silly repetitious video games that Patrick Stewar t hawks) you can get A-HAH! Memoritz and Fruito, two card games from Greater Than 60, a group looking to design products and services for the elderly population in Singapore.
In Fruito, you match the cards to make fruit. In Memoritz, you match a numeral on one card with a number of objects on another.
Frankly, I couldn’t imagine giving this to anyone over the age of two; surely even elderly Alzheimer’s patients could handle something more interesting. The games were designed in collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Disease Association of Singapore.
