Game Propaganda from Vancouver’s Translink

Vancouver’s Translink transportation system developed a board game (source) / card game (source) called “It’s Your Move” to teach the public about the necessity of increased funding for their services.

Players are given a choice of no spending, resulting in drastic cuts in services, pace spending, to maintain the system, and increased spending, to “create a sustainable region”. For each area of service, such as bridges, buses, etc, they can choose to increase or decrease the amounts, paying for it with cards. The plan is couched in terms of giving the public a say as to where future spending should be made or cut in the services.
