Gen Con LLC announced Wednesday an agreement with developer LaViaz Mobile for a Gen Con Indy Mobile iPhone app. The software will allow convention attendees to maintain an updated version of the event catalog on their phone, note their favorite events, and alert their friends on the events they will be attending. According to the announcement, these functions will be integrated with Facebook, Twitter, and maps of venues. It’s not available yet, but should be out in time for Gen Con next month, and there will be no cost to users.

2Ummm, Gen Con is less than a week away. Did this ever get completed? I was looking forward to using it and it looks pretty cool. Any update?

3I believe that this is the link for the app:

though I don’t own an iPhone and so haven’t been able to test it.
