Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
Mirage Chess, by Pengtao Yu, includes a projected Chess board with piece movement tracking, pieces that snap open like hair clips, a computer opponent, and a computer hookup to play opponents remotely. All in a sleek compact case. (source) I’m not sure if the set actually exists or is only “designed”.
MarchingDog presents this good versus evil chess set. With zombies. (source)

Nice, interesting and unusual design.
This is nice, i’m a minimalist and having a huge glass chessboard i have to lug around isn’t very pretty. This design is those and i would gladly buy it.
I like the carvings … Reminds me a bit (very loosely, mind) of Warhammer figures that you get at Games Workshop (games-workshop.com)
