Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.

High up on the list of the most popular themes in board games has got to be asbestos management, but darned it if it isn’t hard to find any good ones on this wildly popular subject.
Fear not, for the UK company Rhodar has created an Asbestos Management game called SAFEguard, “in which key aspects of H&S legislation, risk management, health and hazards on site, SAFEguard and all things asbestos are quizzed in a manner akin to Trivial Pursuits or Monopoly.”
Yeah, no one gets quizzed in Monopoly, but without using Monopoly as a reference point, how would you know that “board game” doesn’t refer to bison meat on a plank?

1I don’t mind the theme, but judging from the pic of the game, it’s yet another roll and move blah blah game

2The point here is not the merits of the design, as such; rather it’s that a game is demonstrably a legitimate educational device for matters of this ilk in the first place. This is a great story! ;)
