National Gaming Day at your library (also here) is a project spearheaded by the American Library Association. Gaming here refers to both video and board gaming (the latter organized by Scott Nicholson). It is scheduled for Saturday, November 14.
Hasbro donated more than 16,700 games in support of their brand … er, I mean the event. (source)
North Star Games donated 2,000 games of their own, in order to, in PR Director Luke Warren’s words, “remind people that there is more to board games than Monopoly.”
Out of the Box offered libraries a package deal on seven of their games at 50% off.
