Is your game missing some parts? They’re probably in Montreal.
Les Lutin Verts takes in used board games that are missing pieces, assembles them into finished games, and sells them for less than half the price, generally to families buying games for their own children (less so as gifts). Since they are an NPO, they donate part of their earnings to a local charity, Carrefour familial Les Pitchou. (source)

If one doesn’t mind going away from the factory standard, there’s also coming up with one’s own substitutes. I like to use Lego figures for pawns. Koplow and Chessex both sell generic pawns as well, and there are whole companies devoted to the sale of wooden meeples and colored cubes.
