Carsten Connolly survived a 3.5 year battle with Leukemia. Under the auspices of the “Make a Wish” Foundation, Carsten designed a board game to teach other children about cancer. Mattel agreed to publish it.
The game is called Carsten’s Wish, and there are 25 copies, distributed to hospitals near where Carsten lives and in India (by Carsten’s request).
Players play the doctors and nurses helping a patient. Move around the board collecting treatment chips and avoiding the vomit monster. The game is only finished once the patient has completed his/her treatment. No winners or losers.
