Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
Raceroony, by Michael Corney and published by his sggc Kinda Corney, is a roll-and-move racing game from and about Prince Edward Island.
It’s a little different than the standard fare: when you land on a space, you take that space. If someone else has it, you can choose to roll off against him (ties go to defender), taking it if you win, or giving him a free space card from the deck if you lose. Each space is worth 1 to 3 points, and the winner is the one with the highest score after someone completes three laps.
While a little different than the standard fare, I think it’s a tad much to claim that “The game play is a cross between Monopoly and Risk,” as the copy does.
