As this news has spread so rapidly around the internet, I expect there’s a good chance that you’ve already read the story—a Wisconsin prisoner has lost his appeal of the Waupun Correctional Institution’s ban on Dungeons & Dragons. However, in light of our continuing effort to point out the cultural influence of roleplaying, what I wanted to point out was that that link right there was not to another game or geek blog, but to The New York Times. In fact, the article describes related discussions among attorneys and law professors, and includes an exclusive photograph of D&D miniatures. (That’s an interesting assignment for the photographer.
